Digitised boundaries for County Galway now live

We are delighted to announce that the parcel boundary data for County Galway is now available for inspection online.

All twenty six counties are now digitised!

Descriptions of Legends and Symbols as they appear on the digital map is published on this site.
The most common features are

  • Freehold parcels are represented in red
  • Leasehold parcels are be represented in green
  • Sub-leasehold parcels are represented in purple
  • Registered rights-of-way/wayleaves are represented in yellow.

As a result, arrangements similar to those already in place for Counties Longford, Meath, Carlow, Westmeath, Kilkenny, Wexford, Clare, Louth, Wicklow, Roscommon, Dublin, Kildare, Sligo, Cavan, Cork, Limerick, Mayo, Donegal, Leitrim, Kerry, Laois, Monaghan Tipperary Offaly and Waterford will shortly be put in place in relation to the use of Filed Plan maps for registered land in County Galway

The schedule for the roll out of the digitisation of boundary data is driven by Ordnance Survey Ireland's (OSi) programme of updating their digital map product and is outlined on ourProgress Map.
