General

1. This website is owned by Tailte Éireann and is operated for and on behalf of Tailte Éireann.
2. This website is established in Ireland in accordance with and subject to the laws of Ireland. The Courts of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes which may arise in relation to the website, its uses or any information contained therein. Access to the landdirect service and Property Alerts and use of information contained therein is governed by these terms and conditions.
3. If there are applications pending on a folio selected for viewing, such applications may result in changes to the register. When such folios are selected for viewing, a message appears on screen alerting the user to this. The user should view details of the pending application(s) and print the list, if required.

Opening an Account

5. In order to use the landdirect.ie business service you must open and maintain an account with us.
6. When the account has been activated, a password will be assigned to you. You are advised to change this password when you first use the service and periodically on an ongoing basis. You must ensure that your password is not disclosed to another person or party and you are responsible for ensuring that access through your account or your firm's account is conducted only by your authorised personnel.
7. The account holder will supply information to Tailte Éireann about any change of their status, name or address.
8. Persons using the service are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions

Acceptable Use Obligations

9. By using landdirect you agree not to -
   • open an account by using any alias or through another user.
   • damage, impair or interrupt the service or access to it.
   • use any automated software agents to search, copy, monitor, display, obtain links to or otherwise access this or any other Land Registry System.
   • copy, publish or use the data on another website or in any manner likely to confuse members of the public or amount to misrepresentation as to your identity or relationship with Tailte Éireann.
   • attempt to add, change or delete any information provided and held by Tailte Éireann.
   • allow anyone else to access your account using your user ID.
   • use the information provided by the service to claim any arrangement or official partnership with Tailte Éireann to supply or reuse data and/or information.
   • access the website or the data contained therein in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful or in connection with any for any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful activity, including data privacy breaches.
   • use the website in any manner which could damage, disable or impair availability or accessibility of the services provided through the website or interfere with any other party's use of those services.
   • use the website to transmit or send unsolicited communications.
   • conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including without limitation scraping, data mining, data extraction and data harvesting) on or in relation to the website.
   • use the website to copy, store, host, transmit, use, publish or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to ) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rootkit or other malicious computer software.
10. We reserve the right to alter the terms and conditions under which the services available through the website are offered.
11. We reserve the right to alter the contents of the website

Sanctions

12. Tailte Éireann may suspend access to the system by any user(s) or close an account where it is satisfied that this may be necessary to protect the Land Register or other Tailte Éireann data, other users of the system, and/or the PRA.
13. Tailte Éireann reserves the right to cancel an account at any time without notice if it suspects or has evidence of non- compliance with these terms and conditions.

Electronic Payments

14. Users of the service should satisfy themselves that the correct folio has been identified /selected before purchasing. Requests for refunds will not be accepted where an electronic copy of the folio has been ordered/viewed erroneously. Please see the landdirect.ie Refund Policy published on the website.
15. Electronic folio documents will issue to customers immediately on receipt of payment. Because of this, it is not possible to cancel applications for copies at a customer’s request.

16. Save where otherwise appearing, the material provided through landdirect.ie is subject to Tailte Éireann copyright in accordance with the provisions of the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000 (No. 28 of 2000).
17. Permission to reproduce Government copyright material does not extend to any material on this site which may be the property of a third party. Authorisation to reproduce such material must be obtained from the copyright holders concerned.
18. Land Registry map products available through landdirect.ie are produced and published by Tailte Éireann and may incorporate Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) mapping data under a licence from OSi. © OSi and Government of Ireland.
19. Land Registry digital maps accessible through the landdirect.ie service and the aerial photographs which may be viewed online incorporate Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) mapping data and ortho-photography respectively, under a licence from OSi. © OSi and Government of Ireland.
20. landdirect.ie also incorporates information licensed from GeoDirectory, a product developed by An Post and OSi. © GeoDirectory.

Disclaimer

21. Reasonable care has been exercised in the compilation of the information available through this website.
